The diagnotic laboratory at University Hospitals Leuven is the largest in Belgium. In addition to its clinical activities, its microbiology unit has several research laboratories attached to it, both in the laboratory of clinical microbiology and at the Rega institute.
An observership at our facility should last for at least 4 week. It can either focus on collaborative work in the diagnostic lab or in a research laboratory and subject of your liking.
An applicant is not required to speak the local language (Dutch). They are however required to have completed a master-level biomedical degree in an EU institution.
No professional liability assurance is required since no care is provided directly and autonomously. Observers will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement before being given access to medical information.
The requested personal contribution is used to fulfill administrative requirements and make your teaching experience as productive as possible.
